Description
Space for the Whole Family in this Lake Bled Holiday Home
Situated in the perfect location, this spacious and tranquil holiday home for up to 8 people combines charming traditional décor with modern technology and appliances.
Welcome to our warm and charismatic family home located in the charmingly traditional Slovenian village of Zasip, nestled in the very heart of nature. This sleepy village setting is just 2 miles (3.2km) from the shores of Lake Bled and right on the doorstep of the beautiful Triglav National Park.
We are convinced you’ll love our charming home. Let us take you on a tour…
From the moment you approach our holiday home, you will be greeted not only by breathtaking mountain views but also by the peace and tranquility of the safe neighborhood in which the house is located. There is private parking provided outside the house and a second parking spot is also available – free of charge- upon request.
The four beds plus sofa bed and baby’s crib mean this house can comfortably sleep 8 people, and there are two spacious bathrooms as well.
Living areas:
The living room and dining room are connected in a wonderfully social and convivial open plan arrangement. The perfect living space to relax, socialize and eat for any family or friend group!
A fantastic mix of old and new.
The living room is charming and inviting, it perfectly reflects our desire to add modern and accommodating touches to the house whilst maintaining its classical alpine vestige. With the warmth of the traditional wooden floors and ceilings, this living room also comes fully equipped with a huge flat screen TV over 100 cable channels (many in English) and a fast, reliable WIFI connection – the best of both worlds as they say! And, for more traditional entertainment, the shelves are stocked with many children’s stories and board games.
The big and homely sofa converts into a bed for larger groups and, typical of many traditional Slovenian homes, there is a wood oven in which you can bake your own bread or pizza. The oven Is operated from the kitchen side though it backs into the living room and provides extra warmth during winter.
Light, spacious and open living area.
Around the corner, you will find the dining room. Big enough to accommodate everyone, this is the perfect place to wine, dine and play board games! All in a warm and traditional setting.
Traditional Slovenian Village
“Come in and stay a while.”
In the proximity of some of Slovenia’s most wonderful natural sites, this home is nestled in the quiet and traditional village of Zasip. While the town of Bled is busier and rather touristy, the location of our home offers the perfect balance of calm and closeness.
Easy access to many hiking trails.
If you prefer a human touch, St. Katarina church is only 600m away and offers wonderful views of Bled Castle as well as a children’s playground!
St. Katarina church and its beautiful scenes.
Straža hill is located just across the lake and offers a wide range of activities to suit everyone – all year round! Layer up in winter and try your hand at sledding, snowboarding, and cross-country skiing; while in summer, you can visit the exciting family adventure park (Pustolovski park) where you and your little ones can zip line, swing, balance, run and generally have a great time!
For the more daring ones, Bled also offers adrenaline-rich adventures such as ziplining across valleys, diving, rafting, canyoning and much more.
The village of Zasip offers a lovely calm and relaxing family atmosphere which is perfect after a long day of exploration and adventure! Just 200m from the house there is a friendly restaurant called Kurej. Here, you and your family and friends can soak up the surroundings with a hearty and inexpensive traditional Slovenian meal.
We love our warm family home and we’re sure you will too! It’s the perfect launching pad for friend and family groups eager to explore Bled and its surrounding area!
The balcony area:
After sleeping like a log in our quiet and comfy bedrooms, why not greet the sun by having a coffee on the balcony? The balcony has a small seating area and is the perfect place for soaking up the magnificent mountain views and the calm contentedness of the surrounding village.
Picturesque balcony with seating. The perfect place to catch some morning rays.
The authentic Slovenian village of the holiday home.
All the amenities of the town of Bled are still nearby and the lake is but 2.3km away, yet our home has the added advantage of undisturbed tranquility and unrivaled views. The scenic walking trails of Triglav National park are just a stone’s throw away and in less than half an hour you could be at Lake Bohini, which mirrors the mountains in its expansive, tranquil water.
