Modern apartment with large terrace in central Ljubljana
Newly renovated, the compact apartment has been cleverly designed to maximize the space available. Featuring one bedroom, bathroom and an open plan living room with kitchen, the cozy living space has plenty of natural light thanks to the presence of dormer windows.
The apartment is set on the first floor of a former 19th century farmhouse, with its own private entrance. Access to the apartment is via a flight of stairs next to the front door.

The apartment occupies the loft space of a 19th century farmhouse and has been newly renovated to provide a comfortable base for visitors to the city. With the option of free parking on the street right outside the apartment, the property is an excellent choice if you’re stopping for a few days in the city as part of a longer trip, or if you want the freedom to explore nearby towns and attractions.

Extending over 35m², the compact apartment has been designed to provide plenty of storage space and accommodate all your needs. Dormer windows let in plenty of light to the living room and bedroom, and with fitted blinds and air conditioning, the apartment is pleasantly cool even during the hottest months.
You’ll spend most of your time in the open plan living room which has a pleasant welcoming atmosphere. In addition to the seating area, there’s a small table for two, and a kitchen with everything you need for day-to-day cooking.

Kitchen and Diner
The kitchen is part of the open plan living room and provides everything you need for general meal preparation with a hob, oven, fridge, freezer, cutlery, crockery, coffee machine and other cooking utensils.
Enjoy breakfast and romantic dinners for two at the bar style dining table with two bar stools.

In order to maximize space in the apartment, the owners have created a large wardrobe that cleverly features a ‘secret’ door into the bedroom.
The bedroom has a large dormer window and comfortably sleeps two in a double bed.

Bathroom
The modern bathroom features a spacious shower cubicle, toilet, sink, mirror, and storage space. The combined washer-dryer machine and clothes drying rack are in the bathroom.

Location
Situated in the residential Šiška district on the outskirts of Ljubljana, downtown Ljubljana is only a couple of stops away on the bus. In fact, the district is best known for the Center of Urban Culture, Kino Šiška, which puts on exhibitions of works by modern and international artists, and hosts concerts and other festivals.
Also nearby, as well as being one of Šiška’s oldest bars, Lepa Žoga conveniently streams all the biggest sporting fixtures and is a great place to mix with locals.
On a more practical level, you’ll find a selection of grocery stores within walking distance of the apartment. For other retail opportunities, there are the shops and stores in town, or, as an alternative, Aleja, a newly built mall which offers a range of shopping and eating experiences.

Head to Tivoli Park
If you share the locals’ love of an outdoor lifestyle, you’ll appreciate the green openness of Tivoli Park which is within walking distance of the apartment. Extending over around 5km², Ljubljana’s largest park is a magnificent expanse of chestnut tree-lined walks and ornamental flower beds. Stop by the park for a cup of coffee by the pond, a picnic or to connect with several walking paths which lead to the slopes of the Rožnik hill.

Local cultural attractions
Alternatively, head to the Cekin Mansion, home of the National Museum of Contemporary History, which is at one end of the Tivoli Park and features various open-air galleries as well as the permanent ‘Slovenians in the 20th century’ exhibition.
Ljubljana has some wonderful churches, not least St Bartholomew’s Church which is just a short stroll from the apartment. The Church has a wonderfully rich history and was first mentioned in historical texts in 1370. Other local attractions include the Railway Museum which opened in 1996 and provides a fascinating insight into Slovenia’s railroad history. And, for something completely different, take a guided tour of the Pivovarna Union (Union Brewery), one of Slovenia’s biggest breweries.

Our holiday home on Njegoševa 19c in Ljubljana is available for short- and mid-term rentals. Minimum stay is 2 nights but this can vary between seasons. Here are the rates for two persons per night.
