Bright and inviting, the living room features a full glass door that allows in plenty of light and provides a great view over Old Town Ljubljana and the neighboring rooftops. When the weather in Ljubljana is warmer, the small terrace, accessed from the living room, is a really wonderful place to spend some time enjoying the views, reading a book, or relaxing over your breakfast.

The sofa converts into a comfortable double sofa bed, ideal for another two adults or children. You can sit here and watch TV in the evenings, choosing from over 100 channels, or watch a DVD or listen to music on the provided player.

The TV also doubles as a PC with Windows 7 where you can access the internet, check for emails etc, or connect to the free wi-fi provided within the mini duplex Ljubljana apartment. You can connect to wi-fi on both floors of the apartment.

With numerous excellent and affordable restaurants in the surrounding neighborhood you may not want to cook your own meals, but if you do, you can be sure that the kitchen has everything you’ll need.

Hidden behind some of those cupboard doors there’s a dishwasher, fridge and freezer, while on the countertop there’s a four burner ceramic cooktop and a microwave with grill, as well as a toaster and a coffee maker. All the utensils you should ever need are provided within the drawers, and there are plenty of plates, cutlery and pans to make use of.

One of the best things about this one bedroom apartment is the fact that it’s a duplex, so it’s set over two floors. If you’re visiting with another couple or with children this means you get a little more space and privacy. There’s actually a second lounge area upstairs, in addition to the master bedroom and bathroom.

Set into the eaves of the building, the upstairs lounge area has a cozy feel and offers fabulous views of Ljubljana Castle and the rooftops of Old Town from the large roof windows. There’s an additional sofa here, so you can sit below the window and enjoy the warm breeze coming through in the summer months. This sofa can also convert into a large single or a small double sofa bed, so in reality you could comfortably visit this one bedroom mini duplex with three children and still have space for everyone.

The apartment’s only bedroom is situated upstairs. There is no wall separation between the bedroom and attic lounge so this is one reason why the upstairs sofa bed is better suited to a child rather than an adult. Even so, there is a frosted glass door that slides across the entrance to the bedroom so it need not be completely open. The frosted door provides privacy or leave it open and enjoy the openness and lots of light from the dual aspect windows.

Use the wall-mounted stereo to listen to some of the provided CDs, or connect your own MP3 player to the USB port and listen to tunes whenever you like.

Although the apartment is in an area where there’s always something going on, you shouldn’t be disturbed at night because the mini duplex has sound-proof windows which will block out a large portion of street noise. But, if you’re worried about getting too hot in the night there’s an additional A/C unit in the bedroom that is quiet and efficient.

The bright and modern bathroom is upstairs too. There are two features that we feel are a real benefit about the bathroom, first, there is a bathtub as well as an overhead shower. Bathtubs can be great for families visiting with children as oftentimes apartments of this size will not provide a tub. Second, there’s a washing machine so if you’re staying for more than just a couple of days it’s always great to know you can wash your clothes if you need to. When you step out of the tub you’ll be greeted by a warm floor as in-floor heating was installed.
