The newly built house is furnished with natural materials and features modern installations, a heat pump, and Wi-Fi control systems for heating. Large smart TV’s, Electrolux appliances and underfloor heating ensure that all you need to worry about during your stay is your itinerary for the day!

Check-in is also easy. With a combination code to the main door to the house and a key box with a key for your apartment, you can choose to self-check-in or be personally greeted on arrival.

Contemporary bathrooms with walk-in showers, ample storage space and a king-size bed guarantee a comfortable stay, whether you are on vacation with friends or family. The apartment has a custom-built wardrobes with plenty of storage space and the bedroom has black-out blinds. The kitchens are equipped with induction hobs, dishwashers, and other appliances such as toasters, kettles, and coffee machines.

Relax on the U-shaped sofa (converts to a bed) in the large open-plan living room. The kitchen is well-equipped with a large refrigerator and dishwasher, a dining table for 8, and plenty of storage and worktop space.

The 1st floor apartment is accessed via a flight of stairs immediately in front of the main door to the house. There are three bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and access to a balcony overlooking the parking area, the hills, and the Via Ferrata, and a family room with a bunk bed and additional single bed.

The third bedroom has a king size bed and a super bathroom with a double sink, walk-in shower, and a huge bath with hydromassage and mountain views.

First stop must be the Slovenian Alpine Museum directly opposite the house, the best place to understand the importance of mountaineering in Slovenia. The kids will love the interactive tasks and virtual reality experiences, which provide a real sense of the highs of looking down on mountain peaks or the lows of being caught in a storm.

As Mojstrana is one of the key starting points for mountain tours to the Julian Alps and the Alpine valleys of Vrata, Krma and Kot, the apartments are ideal for hikers and anyone looking to experience this region’s awesome natural setting. The apartments are located just below the Via Ferrata Mojstana, where you can rent equipment and explore the rocky terrain above via two graded via ferrata routes that lead to the top of the Grančišče wall. The easier of the two, the Aljaževa route (180 m high, 250 m long) is suitable for beginners and a great opportunity to introduce the kids to this thrilling activity.

You can also follow well-maintained walking trails to the beautiful Peričnik waterfall, the Martuly waterfalls, and the Triglavska Bistrica stream.

The area is also a haven for mountain bikers, with the 150-km-long Trans Karavanke TMB route, which runs from Jezersko to Tromeja and through Mojstrana, providing a scenic way to explore the linked mountain and forest trails on two wheels.

Lake Bohinj (20 min) is Slovenia’s largest natural lake and a delightful place to spend the day, picnicking, swimming, or taking a leisurely stroll on the forested trail around the lake. If you’re feeling energetic, you can walk from here to the iconic Savica waterfall, approximately 1 hour away. Other highlights include the town of Bled, set on the glacial Lake Bled in the foothills of the Julian Alps and home to the 11^th-century fairytale Bled Castle, and the Alpine resort of Kranjska Gora (15 minutes’ drive).

The apartments are also well-located for shopping and restaurants. The nearest grocery store is just 250 meters away, with a larger supermarket a 15-minute drive at Jesenice which is also home to the nearest hospital and other amenities.

When you feel like dining out, choose from several good local restaurants. Nearby Restaurant Veranda is a good option for great steaks and fish, while Restaurant Pr Zelezn’k is the place to go for traditional hearty fare. The kids will love Pizzeria Spajza in Mojstrana, as much for the pizzas as the indoor children’s play area. They also offer a takeaway service.
