Central Stari Trg Apartment with Atrium

The apartment is situated in an old building located right under Ljubljana’s picturesque Castle hill. The building itself dates all the way back to medieval times and has since then been renovated many times. When the apartment was renovated the outdated features got a new life: original ceiling arches, thick walls (no AC needed), parquet flooring, and a beautiful atrium with a fabulous view of the moss-covered back wall.

Your first impressions when stepping towards the apartment will be bright and playful as the hallway tiles create an optical illusion. The beautifully restored entrance gives the apartment a very special and charming feel.

The living room has the entire wall covered with antique mirrors, which reflect the light, visually enlarges the space and in combination with the Flos chandelier make it look like a grand ballroom.

The kitchen is amazingly equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and most importantly, is very conveniently designed. Here you will find everything you need, even if you’re a more demanding chef on a longer stay. Do you usually miss your wine cooling cabinet on your travels? You won’t miss it here!

Families with little children will appreciate the utility room with a washing and drying machine discreetly tucked behind the kitchen.

The bedroom is soft and relaxing, balancing the original stone wall with soft grey carpet and a gorgeous blue custom upholstered bed. The golden hanging light look like delicate pieces of jewelry and also create a soft intimate ambiance.

The direct entry to the mesmerizing atrium makes this bedroom a 5* retreat.

The second room can work as a second bedroom with a comfortable sofa bed with a real mattress sized 140 x 200 cm or can work as a spacious home office. We’re happy to provide extra working desk upon request.

The bathroom has a spacious design with a luxurious feel. The intense floor tiles, which are the same as used on the hallway, give the space tons of personality while the rest of the elements are fairly minimalistic. The sink and the furniture pieces are all custom and the black matte fixtures are from Zucchetti Kos.

This apartment’s outdoor space truly is one of the best features. Carved into the Castle hill offers privacy, security, and a charismatic medieval feel and everyone appreciates it from the bottom of their hearts – the kids and the adults alike. It’s telling a unique story… come and listen to it!

The apartment is located in Old Town’s pedestrian zone, bringing you as close as possible to the true Ljubljana experience.

The Congress Square parking garage is only 200m away and if you need luggage help you can use the Cavelier electric car service for free or ask us for help and we’ll organize the easiest way for you to check in.

If you’ll be using a bicycle, I’m happy to tell you that there’s a secured bike shed available at the property.

The famous Cobblers Bridge and Ljubljanica river are only 40m from the apartment and so are the countless other monuments, shops, banks, and schools. You are literary in the midst of iconic Plečnik’s Ljubljana architecture, including the Central food market (only 450m away) that offers fresh local fruit and vegetables every day.

What you surely won’t miss out on are the amazing restaurants and cafes all around your apartment’s location. To mention only a few: Monstera Bistro, Cubo restaurant, Atelje, and Strelec on Ljubljana Castle are all on Michelin’s Guide and I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed!
