A detached family home, just a short distance from the shores of Slovenia’s best known natural attraction, this Lake Bled holiday home is perfect for the entire family thanks to its spacious accommodation and the ultimate privacy it offers.

Lake Bled

There are very few places like this available in the Lake Bled area, so if you’re traveling with your family or a group of friends this could well be the best place to stay. When you rent this Lake Bled holiday home you will benefit from being able to use the entire house, not just a portion of it, so you’ll have space to spread out, relax and not have to worry about the noise your children are making!

The six beds plus sofa bed and baby’s crib mean this house can comfortably sleep 8 to 9 people, and there are two spacious bathrooms as well.

The majority of the furniture has an antique charm.
It’s a traditional Slovenian country house with authentic features.

There is a bright modern kitchen that provides a nice contrast to the natural wood finishes found throughout the living areas and bedrooms of this typical Slovenian family home, which is set in the sleepy village of Zasip just 2 miles (3.2km) from the shores of Lake Bled and right on the doorstep of the beautiful Triglav National Park.

Although traditional this does not mean you have to forego the usual modern conveniences. The home does have a TV with many English channels and there is wireless internet available throughout the full three floors of the house. This Lake Bled holiday home also has a washing machine.

Traditional Slovenian Village

Beautiful scenery everywhere you look

The stunning scenery of Lake Bled and the surrounding mountains are the main reasons why this is one of Slovenia’s top tourist destinations.

The town of Bled has everything you’ll need from restaurants to bars, shopping and services though it could be argued that with all the hotels the town is a little on the touristy side and certainly busier than you might expect.

Our Lake Bled holiday home offers the perfect compromise, from its location in the more traditional village of Zasip.Beautiful scenery everywhere you look

You will still be only a couple of miles from the shores of Lake Bled and all the amenities of the town, yet you get to enjoy quieter surroundings with easy access to many hiking trails in Triglav National Park and about a 30 minute walk to the scenic Bled Gorge. In the winter you can ski and enjoy all the typical winter sports like sledding, snowboarding and cross country skiing on Straža hill, just across the lake, while in the summer the ski hill is put to good use with a summer tobogganing run and an exciting adventure park, open from April to October. Here at PustolovskiPark you and your children (aged 4+) can zipline, swing, balance, run and generally have a great time!

Summer tobogganing run and an exciting adventure park just across the lake

While this is an excellent Lake Bled holiday home for families with children, outside space is limited. There is a small area to the back of the house, plus a quaint balcony offers private outside space. When the children need more space to run around we recommend a walk to the area on the hill just above the village. It is only a 500 meter walk and the whole family can enjoy the lovely valley views and the country restaurant.

Just minutes from hiking trails in Triglav National Park

Zasip Village itself is not entirely a sleepy backwater, as it does have an excellent family restaurant and pizzeria with large children’s playground, that you are sure to frequent when staying here! Then there’s the opportunity to experience the more authentic Slovene culture and to see how the locals live; only possible in a small village like Zasip.

If you’re planning to arrive at this Lake Bled holiday home by car be aware that the home does not have parking directly beside it.

Parking is possible about 150 meters from the home, so not far, and you could always pull off the road briefly to unload your luggage when you arrive, and load up when you’re leaving.

Spacious and Homey Living Areas on the Ground Floor

Use the wood oven to bake your own bread or pizza or to warm up this Lake Bled holiday home in the winter

When you step inside this Lake Bled holiday home you can immediately see the authentic Slovenian character that it offers. The warmth of wood is abundant thanks to the hardwood flooring and paneled ceilings, and the majority of the furniture has an antique charm.

The living room is roomy and inviting and has a comfortable sofa that converts into a bed if you have a full house. Typical of many homes in Slovenia there is a wood oven in which you can bake your own bread or pizza.

The oven is operated from the kitchen side though it backs into the living room and provides extra warmth during the winter. Logs are even provided for your use. The living room is also where you’ll find the home’s TV which features many English channels.

Kids will love the bench seating!

Modern and Bright Kitchen, and a Full Bathroom

The kitchen is a lovely space in which to prepare food and cook – it is modern and bright with its large and low window that lets in ample sunlight and provides nice views outside. The kitchen features attractive country style cabinets and solid wood worktop, and everything is new and high-end.

Spacious yet cozy feeling in the master bedroom

The second bathroom of the holiday home is on this floor also. The tiles give the bathroom a slightly dated look but the bath with shower attachment, toilet, sink, bidet and towel warmer are all white, modern fixtures.
